feeding time. 5:38am FK out and gone. 6:00am FK in with vole, feeding time. 6:47am FK in nearby tree with vole.6:51am FK in with vole, feeding time. ^;54am to 6:56am FK on door branch then gone. 7:22 MK looks in nest box and drops a vole off. 7:24am FK in and feeds nestling vole that MK dropped off. 7:28am FK out and gone. 8:00am FK in with vole, feeding time. 8:52am to 9:02am replaced side glass. 9:58am MK looks in on 5 nestlings. 10:04am FK in with vole, feeding time. 10:06am FK out with leftovers nestlings not very hungry. 10:28am Male nestling try to flap and jump up on interior door ledge. 10:56am poop on side camera glass !! . From 12:23pm to 7:01pm FK fed 5 nestlings vole seven times and four bugs, FK in with vole and leaves it for nestlings to eat, at 5:38pm Male nestling successfully flaps and jumps onto the interior door ledge and briefly looks outside!! . From 7:34pm to 8:59pm MK drops a vole in the box for the nestlings to eat, FK fed 5 nestlings vole two times. 9:00pm FK and MK gone for the night.

June  16/23           5 banded nestlings stayed the night in H.M.K.T. nest box FK and MK slept elsewhere. 5:11am FK on nearby hydro wire. 5:40am MK and FK

have trapped a female Wood duck in the K-2 nest box. 6:55am FK on KP#4 then to KP#2. 7:01am FK in with vole, feeding time. 7:20am I have gone out to K-2 nest box to rescue the female Wood duck, she flies away unharmed. 7: 44am FK in with vole, feeding time. 8:40 FK on nearby hydro wire. 8:46am MK on H.M.K.T. FK still on hydro wire. 8:47am FK and MK on nearby tree. From 8:54am to 5:20pm FK fed 5 nestlings vole eight times and two bugs, two times MK drops a vole in the box for the nestlings to eat, MK continues to protect area and chases a bird away from H.M.K.T., several times MK and FK looked in the K-2 nest box and FK went in twice, Male nestling on door ledge three times and spent a few minutes each time looking out. From 7:00pm to 8:46pm FK fed 5 nestlings vole two times and one bug, Male nestling on ledge looking out door when FK arrives with vole and male nestling gets it and goes inside, Male nestling on door ledge for a couple of minutes looking out. 9:05pm FK and MK gone for the night.

June  17/23           5 banded nestlings stayed the night in H.M.K.T. nest box FK and MK slept elsewhere. 5:01am FK on nearby hydro wire. 5:09am FK in and

checks on 5 nestlings then out and gone. 5:19am FK on nearby hydro wire. 5:35am FK vole drop off, then goes in and feeding time. 5:45am FK out and on nearby tree.  5:56pm MK dives at Mallard Duck trying to land in area. From 7:04am to 5:24pm FK fed 5 nestlings vole five times, FK gets vole from MK on nearby tree, four times FK drops vole in box for nestlings to eat on their own, Male nestling on door ledge looking out five times with the longest stay being 17 minutes, other nestlings starting to cling on ledge trying to get in door. From 6:16pm to 8:11pm FK fed 5 nestlings vole three times, FK with a bug twice and gives to nestling at door, FK in box then MK in door with vole and FK gets it and feeds nestlings, MK and FK each drop a vole in for nestlings to eat on their own, Male nestling on door ledge three times, Female nestling on door ledge two times. 9:02pm FK and MK gone for the night.

June  18/23           5 banded nestlings stayed the night in H.M.K.T. nest box FK and MK slept elsewhere. 5:19am FK on KP#2. 5:26am FK drops off vole then on

door branch. From 6:45am to 7:01pm FK fed 5 nestlings vole eight times and twelve bugs, at 7:27am feeding FK stored leftovers in nearby evergreen, MK delivered one bug, FK drops four voles in box, MK and FK continue to protect area and chase Grackles and Black Birds away, Male nestling has mastered getting up and staying on door ledge and twice spent over a half hour looking out, Male nestling in the door fifteen times, Female nestling on door ledge five times for several minutes each time and at 6:49pm Male nestling on ledge with Female and both briefly looked out. From 7:06pm to 9:15pm FK fed 5 nestlings vole twice and one vole was dropped off in the box, Male nestling was on door ledge twice. Nestlings have learned that food may be delivered directly when in the door so there is now lots of competing for the door.

June  19/23           5 banded nestlings stayed the night in H.M.K.T. nest box FK and MK slept elsewhere. 5:01am FK on nearby hydro wire. 5:13am FK on KP#2.

5:27am FK vole drop off, then in and feeding time. 5:53am FK on nearby hydro wire. From 6:14am to 2:58pm FK fed 5 nestlings one vole and drops five voles in box, MK drops two voles in box, at 10:46am Male nestling went in the door and back down eight times over a 15 minute timeframe, FK drops three bugs in box, at 11:25am FK was in the box when a male nestling was in the door and FK had to push her way out, fourteen times FK gives a bug to the nestling in the door and at 12:37pm when the door nestling wouldn’t take the bug FK squeezed into the box and gave it to another nestling, MK gives a bug to the nestling in the door twice, there was a nestling in the door almost non-stop since noon and once there was both a male and female briefly sharing the door. From 3:05pm to 9:16pm FK fed 5 nestlings one vole and drops six voles in box, FK drops three bugs in box, twice FK gave nestling in the door a vole, MK drops one vole in box, nestlings increasing their time in the door. 9:30pm FK and MK gone for the night. Nestlings will be fledging (leaving the nest box) soon.

June  20/23           5 banded nestlings stayed the night in H.M.K.T. nest box FK and MK slept elsewhere. 5:01am FK on KP#4 until 5:43am. 5:44am FK vole drop off

then in and feeding time. 5:49am FK out and on nearby hydro wire and Male nestling in door. From 6:05am to 10:37am FK drops three voles and one unidentified food in box, FK delivers five bugs to various nestlings in door and once squeezed past the door nestling to get to one inside, Male nestling in door five times and went back in and up again numerous times, Female nestling in door six times, twice there were 2 nestlings in the door at the same time. From 10:52am to 12:17pm Male nestling fledges by jumping out and landing on door branch, Female nestling in door, FK delivers food to door nestling once, MK on various H.M.K.T. branches guarding fledged nestling, FK on various perches (KP poles, hydro wire) close to nest box and within view. 12:18pm Male fledgling attempts to get back in nest box, clings to side of box and falls but grabs a cable on the way down. 12:32pm Male fledgling climbing up H.M.K.T. branches and gets under the nest box. From 12:32pm to 4:55pm FK drops two voles and four bugs in box, Female nestling in door three times and second Male nestling in door once, Male fledgling still in the shade of the nest box resting and sleeping at times, MK continues to be on guard and only briefly gone from H.M.K.T. when FK was close. 4:59pm Male fledgling jumping back and forth on H.M.K.T. branches and at 5:04pm jumps and flaps from door branch back into H.M.K.T. nest box. From 5:15pm to 6:44pm Female nestling in door twice, Male nestling in door three times. 6:47pm Male nestling out of box on door branch, MK on H.M.K.T. and Female nestling in door. 6:52pm FK drops vole off, Male fledgling quickly jumps and flaps from door branch back into box to eat. 7:09pm Female nestling in door, MK on H.M.K.T. and FK on hydro wire. 8:35pm FK drops vole off. From 8:50pm to 9:00pm Male nestling in door and FK on hydro wire. 9:30pm FK and MK gone for the night.

June  21/23           5 banded nestlings stayed the night in H.M.K.T. nest box FK and MK slept elsewhere. 5:06am FK on nearby hydro wire until 5:21am. 5:20am

MK on H.M.K.T. 5:35am MK and FK gone. 5:42am FK drops off vole and JMK fledges again on door branch and then under H.M.K.T. nest box, FK on wheel house, other 4 nestlings sharing vole. 5:50 FK gone from wheel house and MK on KP#4. From 5:55am to 9:07am FK fed 4 nestlings vole once and drops two bugs in box, MK gives FK a vole on H.M.K.T. and FK drops it in box, JMK jumps and flaps from one H.M.K.T. branch to another and at 6:01am when a vole deliver to box happens JMK goes back in pushing past nestling in door, JMK fledges yet again on door branch and within minutes goes back in box again pushing past nestling in door, competition for the door continues and once two nestlings shared the door. 9:07am until 11:10am out in blind. From 8:52am to 9:09am MK on wheel house, JMK fledges again on door branch, flaps from one H.M.K.T. branch to another and gets on the roof, JMK continues to flap upward onto a high branch, MK flies toward nearby tree and JMK takes his first flight following MK. From 9:31am to 6:47pm FK drops six voles in box and delivers four bugs to nestling in door, MK drops one vole in box, JFK spending a lot of time in door and at times just relaxing, once two nestlings shared the door, with one fledgling and most of the time a nestling in the door MK and FK are close by guarding either on the H.M.K.T. or nearby hydro wire. From 7:14pm to 8:38pm FK drops one vole and two bugs in box, MK drops one vole in box. 8:59pm FK with vole in door, 4 nestlings don’t show any interest-not hungry so FK leaves with vole. 9:30pm FK and MK gone for the night.

June  22/23           4 banded nestlings stayed the night in H.M.K.T. nest box FK, MK and 1 JMK slept elsewhere. 5:02am FK on nearby hydro wire till 5:27am.

5:55am JFK in door. From 6:05am to 1:00pm FK fed vole to 4 nestlings once and drops one vole in box, MK drops one vole in box, nestlings in door in the early morning and then sleep most of mid-late morning during the rain showers. 1:09pm JFK fledges by jumping out and landing on door branch. From 1:09pm to 3:12pm JFK fledgling still on door branch, nestlings taking turns in door watching JFK fledgling and once two shared the door, MK on H.M.K.T. and KP poles guarding and dives at birds in the area, FK in nearby trees and hydro wire, FK drops one vole in box for 3 remaining nestlings. 3:16pm JFK fledgling on tip of door branch, flaps wings and tries to fly to nearby tree but lands on the ground. 3:18pm JFK fledgling starts climbing up H.M.K.T. branches and attempts to fly between branches but lands on the ground. 3:19pm MK or FK drops vole off in box. 3:21pm JFK fledgling starts climbing up H.M.K.T. again, slips and back on the ground. JFK fledgling begins walking, jumping and flapping making her way toward nearby tree. From 5:34pm to 6:45pm FK drops one vole in box, MK drops one vole in box, nestlings taking turns in door. From 7:00pm to 9:25pm nestlings taking turns in door and lots of wing flapping and running around in the box, FK and MK perching close by on H.M.K.T. and KP poles. 9:51pm FK drops vole in box, JMK gulps it. 9:55pm FK on nearby hydro wire. 10:01pm FK and MK gone for the night.

June  23/23            3 banded nestlings stayed the night in H.M.K.T. nest box FK, MK and 1 JMK, 1 JFK slept elsewhere. 5:03am FK on nearby hydro wire. 5:43am

FK looks in door and drops off vole, then on nearby hydro wire. 6:45am until 11:10am out in blind. 8:05am JFK fledges by jumping out and landing on door branch. 8:20am JMK fledges by jumping out and landing on door branch with JFK, FK lands on H.M.K.T., MK lands on wheel house then FK and MK fly away in different directions, JFK jumps and flaps between branches on H.M.K.T. and roof. 8:27am JFK takes her first flight to nearby tree, JMK jumps and flaps between branches on H.M.K.T. and running around on roof. 9:25am JMK takes his first flight to nearby tree. 9:54am JFK fledges by jumping out and landing on door branch then spends time on H.M.K.T. jumping and flapping between branches. 11:03am FK in nest box with vole then on H.M.K.T. branch by JFK and flies away with vole. 11:07am JFK takes her first flight to nearby tree. 1:20pm FK in H.M.K.T. box with vole and then out and gone from view. 1:23pm MK on H.M.K.T., FK goes in H.M.K.T. box looking around, MK gone from view then FK out and gone from view. Even though all 5 nestlings have successfully fledged the adults may still investigate the nest box over the next several days. Fledges in nearby trees. 7:45pm FK and MK attack crow that is too near nearby trees, and have made contact, then MK chases crow far from research area. 8:20pm FK on nearby tree until 8:35pm, a fledge was spotted in nearby tree.

June  24/23

Nobody stayed the night in H.M.K.T. nest box. FK, MK and 2 JMK, 3 JFK slept elsewhere. 4:45am FK on nearby hydro wire. 6:35am Cleaned top camera, replaced side camera glass and light window under ledge. During the cleaning MK hovered overhead. 8:16am FK on nearby tree. 10:03am and 11:19am FK looked in H.M.K.T. box, sat on door branch and then gone from view. 3:50pm FK was briefly in H.M.K.T. box looking around, sat on door branch and then gone from view. 3:51pm MK on H.M.K.T. then flew toward nearby tree. 4:12pm FK on door branch with vole and gone from view. 4:40pm MK on H.M.K.T. and FK on hydro wire.

June  25/23

Nobody stayed the night in H.M.K.T. nest box. FK, MK and 2 JMK, 3 JFK slept elsewhere. 5:44am FK on door branch calling then gone. 6:20am Adult kestrel on hydro wire. 6:52am MK on hydro wire. 9:50am MK & FK in view outside of research area. Blue Jay on the ground by H.M.K.T. and MK & FK are here in a flash diving at it and also chase six other Blue Jays from the area. 10:25am MK on a nearby tree with vole, FK gets it and plucking it. 10:35am FK finished preparing vole and gives it to JFK. 10:45am FK on nearby tree with JFK on a lower branch eating vole.

June  26/23

FK, MK and 2 JMK, 3 JFK slept elsewhere. 7:34am Adult K flies from nearby tree and gone from view. 7:53am Adult K chases 2 Grackles off H.M.K.T. 8:25am MK & FK on tree tops and JMK & JFK in trees below. 8:46am 2 JMKs and 1 JFK in trees with FK perched above them. 10:34am FK on the ground, gets a bug and eating. 11:00am MK & FK still on tree tops. 12:47pm MK & FK on tree tops. 3:30pm MK & FK on tree tops. 7:14pm Adult K on nearby hyrdo wire. 1 of the JFK’s flying skills are excellent.

June  27/23

Nobody stayed the night in H.M.K.T. nest box. FK, MK and 2 JMK, 3 JFK slept elsewhere. 5:52am Adult K flies to nearby tree. 8:00am Adult K briefly on nearby tree then gone from view. From 8:15am to 10:00am 2 JMK and 2 JFK in trees, FK and MK on various trees near JKs, JMK great flight to another tree. 6:30pm MK and FK perched on trees in the same area as the morning. From 8:00pm to 8:40pm 2 JMK and 1 JFK flying in the wind with ease, FK on tree close by, MK arrives and FK flies out of view then MK flies in the same direction out of view.

June  28/23

Nobody stayed the night in H.M.K.T. nest box. FK, MK and 2 JMK, 3 JFK slept elsewhere. 6:25am JMK on KP#4 then on nearby hydro wire. 6:30am FK chases birds off H.M.K.T. then JFK on wheel house. 6:31am JMK on KP#4 eating a vole. 6:38am 2 JMK and 1 JFK on H.M.K.T. and nest box roof. 6:51am 2 JMK and 1 JFK fly out of research area. From 7:00am to 8:31am Out in blind. 7:15am 2 JMK doing areal maneuvers in KP pole area. 7:23am JMK on H.M.K.T. then flies out of research area. From 7:35am to 8:31am JMK in tree, JFK in a different tree, FK with a vole, FK chases European Starling off H.M.K.T. roof, sits on H.M.K.T. and wheel house then flies toward trees near JKs, MK on tree with vole, flies around area and nearby hydro wire then on tree that JFK was seen earlier. 11:58am Adult K looks in K-2 nest box. 12:16pm MK on H.M.K.T. then looks in box and gone from view. 12:39pm MK on nearby tree.

FK, MK and 2 JMK, 3 JFK slept elsewhere. 4:51am MK on nearby hydro wire. 4:57am MK and FK on nearby hydro wire, then FK gone and MK stayed on wire until 5:29am then gone. 9:00am Ks in trees and some flying around in general area. 10:58am FK in K-2 nest box then on nearby hydro wire. 11:20am FK on nearby hydro wire. From 4:05pm to 4:30pm JFK and JMK on nearby hydro wire, JMK flies away, MK gives JFK a vole, JMK lands on hydro wire watching JFK eat vole then JMK #2 joins them, JMK #2 gets a bug on the ground and flies away, JMK gets rest of vole from JFK and flies to nearby tree with it, JFK flies to nearby tree. From 6:45pm to 7:32pm 2 JMKs on KP poles, one goes to the ground hunting then flies away, JFK flies over KP and perches on nearby hydro wire, JMK on wheel house and JFK on H.M.K.T., JFK flies away then JMK on the ground then flies away. 7:40pm MK on nearby hydro wire, JK on different hydro wire. From 7:55pm to 8:25pm 2 JMKs and 1 JFK on H.M.K.T., JKs flying around in area landing on KP poles, hydro wires and nearby trees at times on the ground hunting.

July  02/23

Nobody stayed the night in H.M.K.T. nest box. FK, MK and 2 JMK, 3 JFK slept elsewhere. 5:32am K flying over research area. 5:40am JMK on KP#2. 5:46am JMK under evergreen. 5:47am JMK on KP#4. 5:52am JFK on H.M.K.T. and at 5:54am JMK on nearby perch. 5:56am JMK on ground then up to nearby perch, JFK still on H.M.K.T. 5:59am JMK and JFK on H.M.K.T. and another JMK on KP#4. 6:02am JFK flies to another perch with JMK and then all 3 on the ground bug hunting, flying around and perching on H.M.K.T. and KP poles. 6:15am starting to rain. 6:21am JMK and JFK under H.M.K.T. box, JMK on KP#4. 6:29am all 3 on H.M.K.T., with one JMK under box. 6:45am JMK and JFK on H.M.K.T. and one JMK on KP#4. From 7:05am to 7:30am JMK under H.M.K.T. box and JFK on branch in the rain then jumping between branches and flying away. 7:37am JFK on H.M.K.T. eating a vole then at 7:40am 2 JFK and 2 JMK on H.M.K.T. 7:52am Out in blind. From 7:52am to 8:50am 2 JFK and  JMK on H.M.K.T. and another JMK on nearby tree, then both JMKs in evergreen, 2 JMK back on H.M.K.T. with 2 JFK. 8:50am JMK on evergreen with a vole, flies to H.M.K.T. with it then gone. 8:54am JMK on evergreen then gone, both JFK fly away in different directions and gone. 9:38am JMK on wheel house, JFK on H.M.K.T. goes to the ground, sits on camera cable, back on H.M.K.T. and at 9:49am flies away all while JMK is still on wheel house. 10:05am JKs gone from area. 11:18am FK on wheel house. 12:00pm JMK on KP#4, flies to another perch then on ground bug hunting and 13 Lined Ground Squirrel chases JMK away. 6:05pm 2 JMK and 2JFK on H.M.K.T. It’s great to see 4 of the 5 fledglings still hanging around together in the nest box area hunting and learning from each other.

July  03/23

Nobody stayed the night in H.M.K.T. nest box. FK, MK and 2 JMK, 3 JFK slept elsewhere. 5:50am Ks flying in research area and nearby. 6:39am FK or possibly JFK on hydro wire. 7:25am JFK on KP#4. From 7:40am to 10:10am Out in blind. JFK on H.M.K.T. 7:47am 2 JMK on tree in general area. 7:50am JFK gone from H.M.K.T., 2 JMK and 1 JFK on tree in general area. 7:55am MK perched briefly on tree near 3JKs. From 9:00am to 10:00am 2 JMK and 2 JFK on tree in general area, flying around and sitting on different perches. 11:24am FK briefly in K-2 nest box. From 11:36am to 11:39am FK on tree by our house, looks in the  bird feeder on tree then on hydro wire, MK on tree by our house, briefly sits by FK on wire then flies away. 3:16pm MK on hydro wire. 6:05pm JFK on KP#4 then at 6:18pm flies to hydro wire. 6:30pm 2 JFK and JMK on trees in general area then JMK and JFK fly past H.M.K.T. and gone. From 6:40pm to 7:15pm JKs flying back and forth around research area and hovering in the wind then gone.

July  04/23

From 3:15pm to 5:20pm Out in blind. 3:15pm JFK on tree in general area. 4:00pm JMK and JFK on tree in general area. 4:23pm JMK & JFK still on tree in general area, and JMK & JFK on hydro wire. 4:33pm 2 JMK and JFK on hydro wire. 4:36pm JMK dives at 13 Lined Ground Squirrel below hydro wire. 4:47pm JMK flies to ground and 13 Lined Ground Squirrel chases him. 4:50pm JMK on tree stump in general area eating a vole. 4:59pm JFK on tree in general area eating a vole, then JMK sits on branch below her. 6:10pm JFK on hydro wire. 7:26pm JMK and JFK on H.M.K.T. and by 7:40pm gone from view. 7:44pm FK on wheel house with vole then flies to nearby tree.

July  05/23

From 7:12am to 8:00am Out in blind. 7:12am JFK and JMK on H.M.K.T., JMK has vole and now eating on wheel house. From 7:16am to 7:26am 2 JMKs and JFK spend time together sitting on one branch, hunting on the ground, KP#4, H.M.K.T. and flying around research area. 7:26am 2 JMKs on H.M.K.T. and one looks in nest box, JFK on wheel house and MK on tree in general area. 7:30am JFK on KP#4 and JMKs gone from view. 7:35am ?K flies from nearby tree and gone from research area. 7:40am JFK eating vole on nearby tree, JFK and JMK on different trees in general area. 10:30am Out in blind. MK perched on treetop. From 11:05am to 11:13am MK on tree, dives down and back up three times with a bug then briefly gone from view. From 11:37am to 11:46am MK back on tree, dives down and back up three times with a bug. 11:47am Spotted JFK in tree with left wing broken, MK feeds her a bug. It’s obvious that JFK has a very serious injury requiring medical attention. 12:30pm We captured JFK and brought her to the Wildlife Haven Rehabilitation Centre for examination. It was determined that the left wing was broken at the elbow joint. Sadly, due to the location of the break the veterinarian staff did not have a surgical repair option so with compassion JFK was euthanized.

FK, MK and 2 JMK, 2 JFK slept elsewhere. 6:06am JFK on nearby hydro wire. 6:09am JFK on KP#2 and JMK on H.M.K.T. they are both hunting then JMK to nearby tree. 6:16am JFK on H.M.K.T. 6:35am 2 JMK’s and 1 JFK on H.M.K.T. 6:42am JMK on wheel house. 7:22am MK on H.M.K.T. 8:05am MK on nearby hydro wire. 2:33pm MK on nearby hydro wire. 3:24pm JFK on nearby hydro wire. 6:00pm JK on treetop in general area.

We wish to extend thanks to the Wildlife Haven team for their compassion and care of wildlife. 8:40pm FK on wheel house, flies to the ground gets a bug and up on H.M.K.T. eating it, then at 8:44pm flies to nearby tree.

Today was a slow day in the research area, the Kestrel family may be slowly moving out of our area.

From 9:10am to 9:53am FK and MK on various trees in general area, MK chasing birds in area, MK on KP#3 then flying around research area and sitting on hydro wire. 9:56am FK on H.M.K.T. with vole and MK on KP#3. 10:07am FK on hydro wire then goes in K-2 nest box twice and out on H.M.K.T. 10:26am FK on H.M.K.T. goes to the ground gets a grasshopper and back on H.M.K.T. eating. 10:51am MK on KP#4. 12:01pm FK on H.M.K.T. From 1:50pm to 2:04pm 2 JMKs and JFK in research area sitting on various perches and flying around research area. From 5:26pm to 8:56pm Lots of kestrel action in research area, JMKs and JFKs on various perches, on the ground hunting and MK chasing Magpies away from area.

FK, MK and 2 JMK, 2 JFK slept elsewhere. 6:07am MK dives at birds at pond. 6:14am ?MK on nearby hydro wire, ?MK on H.M.K.T. and JFK on nearby hydro wire. 6:20am MK on nearby hydro wire. 6:24 K flies to nearby tree. 6:58pm JMK on KP#2. 7:03pm JMK on H.M.K.T. then briefly on the ground gets a grasshopper and eating on H.M.M.T., JMK down briefly on the ground again gets a grasshopper and eating on H.M.K.T.

FK, MK and 2 JMK, 2 JFK slept elsewhere. 7:33am JMK on wheel house, flies to nearby evergreen and back to wheel house then flies out of area. 9:34am K flies through research area. 10:50am MK flies over research area and gone. From 12:30pm to 2:00pm 2 JMKs on H.M.K.T. and other perches hunting, JMK briefly on the ground a couple of times getting grasshoppers and back up on H.M.K.T. eating.

FK, MK and 2 JMK, 2 JFK slept elsewhere. 5:43am till 6:06am FK on nearby hydro wire. 6:44am 2 K’s on nearby hydro wire. 9:35am JMK on wheel house eating vole then JMK stores left overs in evergreen tree. 10:11am JMK on H.M.K.T. 2:37pm JMK on wheel house down to ground and gets grasshopper. 2:52pm JMK on H.M.K.T.  and then to evergreen and retrieves his stored vole and eats on wheel house. 4:07pm FK on H.M.K.T. until 4:49pm then gets grasshopper then briefly on KP#4 then flies away. 5:02pm JMK on H.M.K.T. 8:14pm K in K-2 nest box. 8:25pm JMK on wheel house.

FK, MK and 2 JMK, 2 JFK slept elsewhere. 7:07am MK chasing Magpies in research area, then sits on various perches. 7:10am MK on wheel house, JMK on H.M.K.T. 7:13am MK flies to nearby tree, JMK still on H.M.K.T. 7:28am MK looking in K-2 nest box and JMK under H.M.K.T. nest box, several Blues Jays in area. 6:16pm FK dives at Morning Dove in research area. 6:23pm FK on H.M.K.T. 7:58pm JMK on KP#4 then flying around research area and sits on KP#2, wheel house and H.M.K.T. 8:12pm MK looks in K-2 nest box. 8:14pm JMK on the ground, Magpie chases him. From 8:15pm to 8:35pm JMK dives at bird on nearby tree, sits on hydro wire then on KP#3. 8:36pm JMK still on KP#3 and at 8:37pm flies out of research area.

FK, MK and 2 JMK, 2 JFK slept elsewhere. 6:13am FK on hydro wire until 6:59am and then flies to nearby tree. 8:35am JMK on KP#4. 9:42am FK briefly in K-2 nest box and in again at 9:45am, does a quick scrap in the shavings and out. 10:15am JMK dives at Red Headed Woodpecker sits on KP#2 then on KP#3. 10:20am 2 JMKs hunting on the ground in KP area. From 11:00am to 12:30pm Out in blind. From 11:13am to 11:16am JMK on hydro wire then flies to another perch and returns to hydro wire, JMK #2 on KP#4. From 11:50am to 11:53am JMK on hydro wire then gone, JMK on H.M.K.T. then gone. 12:15pm JMK on nearby tree stump, flies to hydro wire, chases Blue Jay on a tree in the general area, on KP#4, briefly on the ground, flies around area and sits on H.M.K.T. until 12:26pm. 12:42pm JMK on wheel house. 2:19pm FK on H.M.K.T. From 6:58pm to 7:14pm  2 JMKs on H.M.K.T., one gone at 7:08pm and the other gone at 7:14pm. 7:32pm JMK on wheel house. 8:54pm FK on hydro wire until 9:14pm.

2:00pm MK on KP#1 dives down and gets grasshopper then back on KP#1 to eat it, then gone.

9:00am MK on H.M.K.T. then on KP#3 eating grass hopper. 9:36am looks in K-2 nest box then in. MK was in the research area until 12:19pm. He was perching on H.M.K.T., several KP’s and nearby hydro wires. Diving down to catch grass hoppers.

7:43am MK on KP#3 getting dive bombed by Black Bird, Blue Jay and Robin. 7:49am MK in K-2 nest box then looking out of door way. 7:52am MK out of K-2 nest box, immediately being chased by birds, then breifly on H.M.K.T and then gone from area. 10:05am MK on KP#3 then gone from area.
