Every year we have had Wood Ducks at our backyard pond and they have always checked out our K-2 nest box but it never amounts to anything. This year 2025 Ma Wood Duck has moved in to the K-2 nest box as April 27. If you would like to see this taking place here are 2 links for inside the nest box. Ma and Pa Kestrels whom are in the H.M.K.T. nest box (about 100 feet away) with 5 eggs do not seem to mind their Wood Duck neighbors. Unlike our Kestrel stream these are provided free to us by our streaming company Angel Cam but there will be some advertising.

Here are the 2 inside K-2 nest box links.        https://top-k-2-nest-box3.click2stream.com/                   https://k-2-side.click2stream.com/

These may take some time to download and you may have to refresh the page. As of April 27/2025 there were 4 eggs.

Here is a stream for the POND 2 Cam which Ma and Pa Wood ducks frequent.       pond-cam-2.click2stream.com/

On May 2/2025 at about 10:10am we did an egg inspection, there were 9 eggs at this time and day. If Ma Wood Duck read the books she may have approximately 5 to 15 eggs.

Remember to scroll down. We will be doing some updating from time to time.

On May 7/2025 at about 6:50pm Ma Wood Duck left the nest box for her evening swim and fly. At this time we had a chance to do an egg count, as we had thought there were 11 eggs with the last one laid on May 4/2025.
